Currently over at the Time Magazine Website you can participate in the arm chair action of the week.
Time magazine has set up a "25 People to Blame for the Financial Crisis" article and NOW, for a limited time only, you too can participate in the arm chair anarchy, the digital decicisiveness of letting the world know just how much you blame the people who caused this mess.
So grab those digital pitch forks and join me over the fold to see the list of who you can vote for, and who is currently in the lead.
Ok, first things first. The link to go vote is here.
So, I first saw this mentioned on MSNBC and it was said that currently Phil Gramm is in the lead for dirtbag of the last two decades award, otherwise known as "Who Caused the Financial Crisis".
I ran to my computer and rushed online to make my vote heard, and heard it was. Luckily, you aren't required to vote for just one person, but are allowed to vote between 1-10, 1 being innocent, 10 being guilty, for everyone who is on the list.
Here's the list going first by the Rank they are now at, the Name of the person, the Avg. Rating of the person, and the total amount of votes they received.
- Phil Gramm----Avg. Rating: 9----Votes: 81,184
- Christopher Cox----Avg. Rating: 9----Votes: 73,923
- Franklin Raines----Avg. Rating: 9----Votes: 64,227
- Dick Fuld----Avg. Rating: 9----Votes: 59,882
- Bernard Madoff----Avg. Rating: 9----Votes: 58,312
- American Consumers----Avg. Rating: 8----Votes: 85, 844
- George W. Bush----Avg. Rating: 8----Votes: 83,571
- Alan Greenspan----Avg. Rating: 8----Votes: 80,830
- Hank Paulson----Avg. Rating: 8----Votes: 80,830
- Bill Clinton----Avg. Rating: 7----Votes: 77,199
Ok, so obviously I left people out of my little quick scoreboard up above there. I wrote down the current scores/votes/rank as of right now. For political purposes, guess what? Jimmy Carter is no where to be found ANYWHERE on the list. I guess all those emails saying Carter single handedly destroyed the US economy from 30 years in the past must've all been false....who'd have guessed that...
Couple things that really pissed me off:
- the American Consumer has the same rating as George W. Bush?
- Greenspan gets less blame than Bush, and Bush less blame than Christopher Cox.
- Hank Paulson sits at Rank 18....sure.
Anyway, Kossacks, lets get on over to Time's 25 people to blame poll and send some negative mojo in Phil Gramms direction.
Especially before the freepers figure out they can vote Bill Clinton to the top.
